2014 Writer, Just Cause 3

Avalanche Studios, New York, NY

Worked in-house with a premier team to create the open-world adventure Just Cause 3 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Wrote all scripts and in-game dialogue, helped create and plot out missions, and maintained a story bible.

2013-2014 Lore and Text Writer, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

Monolith Studios, Kirkland, WA

Researched and wrote all lore and artifact entries for the third-person adventure Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. Also contributed in-game dialogue and collaborated with the game’s licensors to ensure authenticity of all work.

2008-2010 Writer and designer, The Outsider

Frontier Developments, Lid., Cambridge, England

Consulted on, and wrote for, The Outsider, an adventure game that never saw release. Created characters, missions, and plot points; localized materials for American audience; and wrote thousands of lines of in-game dialogue.

2007-2008 Writer, Battle of the Bands

Planet Moon Studios, San Francisco, CA

Composed dialogue chains and band descriptions for Battle of the Bands, a rhythm game for the Nintendo Wii. Worked in-house with the developers to ensure all elements of the game were suitably comedic.

2006-2007 Writer, Thrillville: Off the Rails

LucasArts, San Francisco, CA

Served as the head writer for the theme-park simulator Thriliville: Off the Rails. Wrote hundreds of thousands of lines of dialogue and instructional text, supervised voice-acting sessions, and scripted all in-game cut-scenes.

• Worked as executive editor for PlayStation: The Official Magazine, a monthly magazine covering all facets of Sony’s PlayStation. Managed in-house staff of six editors and designers, and oversaw the actions of roughly 40 freelancers.

• Pitched ideas and published hundreds of news and feature articles for newspapers, magazines, and Web sites including Yahoo.com, Wired.com, MTV.com, All You magazine, and The Nashville Tennessean.

• Created promotional materials, catalogues, and advertisements for Ngmoco, Microsoft ID@Xbox, and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
